Germany – Netherlands 2 – 2
Veltins Arena, Germany, November 19 – The German national team managed to get just a draw from Netherlands as they continue to struggle. Out of 4 games they have only now gathered 2 points. It has been a disappointing campaign for “Die Mannschaft” as they were relegated now. They continued with the poor form that they showed in the World Cup this year, where they were eliminated in the group stage of the World Cup.
Despite the poor form, the hosts managed to score the first goal in the game, on the 9th minute through Timo Werner and on the 20th minute, Leroy Sane doubled the lead for the German side. The result after the first 45 minutes of the game was Germany 2 and Netherlands 0. Most of the 2nd half, the Germans managed to keep their lead intact but in the 85th minute, Quincy Promes scored the first goal for the visitors to give them some hope, and to make things even worse for them, Netherlands scored a wonderful goal. Virgil van Dijk scored the equalizer to crush the home teams’ hopes for a victory in this campaign.
Netherlands now sit at the top of the table with 7 points, followed by the French national side who also have 7 points. Die Mannschact sit at the bottom of the table with only 2 points from possible 12 as they look to find answers now for their future. Maybe it’s time for a fresh beginning for the Germans.
