Once again the leaks left bare the plans of one of the top companies in mobile telephony. As it happened recently to Samsung with the Galaxy S9, in the anteroom of the Mobile World Congress, now it was the turn of Huawei with its premium phones for this 2018: P20 and its P20 Pro version, which will be presented on the next 27 March at a special event in Paris, France.
The CEO of the company, Richard Yu, said that this device will be “much better” than the iPhone X, according to recently reported the Chinese ITHome. And for the features that leaked little will have to envy the latest model presented by Apple.
In its design reflects just the influence of the iPhone X, with the presence of a curious “eyebrow” (notch) in which the sensors will be integrated for the facial recognition of Huawei. All this was evidenced thanks to some images published by the specialist Evan Blass (@eveleaks), a classic in what refers to the leaks of the mobile world.
Unlike the P20, it is expected that the Huawei P20 Pro does include several types of sensors for its camera. On the one hand, it would have the traditional 18 megapixels; own for the black and white images of 16 Mpx; and, the third, will serve as telephoto lens and will have the same resolution as the previous one.
This top-of-line version of the line also promises a 4,000 mAh battery, Kirin 970 processor – the same power that powers the Mate 10 Pro – and full HD + resolution screen.
In what has to do with storage, this variant will have the capacity to store up to 128 GB, although it is not excluded that a variant of 256 gigabytes will be offered with a RAM that would be higher than the 6 GB of the basic model.
As it usually happens in the family of Chinese cell phones, the most economical version in terms of features and price, although it keeps the odd characteristic of premium phones, it would also be the starting hand of the Huawei P20.
This “Lite” model will have a 5.6-inch screen, FullHD + resolution of 1080 x 2250 pixels and 18: 9 format, practically without frames on its sides and top, but with an accentuated margin in the lower part .
The fingerprint reader will be placed on the back of the phone, where the main photographic system is also located, formed by two vertical sensors, both 16 MP with hybrid zoom capabilities and signed by Leica.
Known internally in the company as “Shirley”, the device will be powered by the Chinese processor Kirin 659 eight-core (2.38 GHz), which was included in the models Mate 10 Lite and Honor 7X. An Android Oreo operating system, modified with the EMUI 8 interface – a classic Huawei -, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. And a 3,520 mAh battery to provide much more than 24 hours of power to the phone.
Now we only have to wait until all the devices of the P20 family are presented on March 27. A few days before, on the 7th of this month, Huawei will reveal what will be the last device that will be marketed in Argentina in a special event to be held in Buenos Aires.
